Spring/Summer meets Fall/Winter

Much as we’d love to, it’s ridiculous to wear fall’s layers outdoors on this side of the planet. So instead, we took the season’s staple somberness and combined it with the bright prints and more wearable pieces of often-summery Manila.

The ‘80s are poised to be back this year. That doesn’t mean going for super-teased side ponytails or wearing aerobics leggings with plastic bangles and earrings. You can just take a few pieces from that decade and update them according to your personal style. In my case, I’ve always liked fingerless gloves but I didn’t quite know what to do with the leather ones—thank goodness I found a pair in lace. And of course, sequins, metallics and patent leather are always easy to incorporate into any trend.
