I recently started volunteering at the Local History and Genealogy branch of my library. I’ve been working the pictured contraption, scanning books to try to digitize as much of the collection as we can. Eventually it’ll all be searchable and available online, for free. 

So far I’ve been working with a weekly periodical from 1930, and I’ve been taking photos whenever I want to internet snark about something that people couldn’t even snark over the phone about back when it was originally printed. So expect those queued up over the next indefinite period of time!
