The Shortsleeves’ Volume 1 is out! ⊟
I’m still trying to process that I actually met and saw two of my favorite bands (The Shortsleeves and Crying) at Pulsewave last weekend, plus witnessed an absolutely bonkers set from Nordloef. None of it feels real.
Couple that with today’s release of The Shortsleeves’ kickstarted album – in a time when crowdfunded works often turn out disappointing or delayed or abandoned – and it all seems like a lovely dream from a weekend nap, certainly not like a real life Tuesday.
Volume 1 offers classic tracks, new songs, and remixes (from friends like Bit Shifter and Bear & Walrus). You can stream them all online for free, but you should buy it because the album is more than worth the $10 the band is asking for. Unfortunately it does not include Jenn de la Vega’s cover of “Hey, I think you’re really cool.”
