If you downloaded Cave Story’s recent WiiWare update, you should see a special Halloween sprite for Quote! Sorry for the crappy TV photos – in case you can’t tell from our blurry images, the game’s hero has a new goth look. I hear there’s a jack-o-lantern Mimiga mask somewhere, too?

This isn’t the only holiday outfit Nicalis added to the update. Someone uncovered a Christmas-themed skin for Quote, complete with a red nose and a Santa hat:

Perhaps this is why the developer told us not too long ago that it hoped to get Cave Story DSiWare out before the end of the year, if not by the end of the month?
