Panzer Dragoon, Suikoden musicians collaborate on “Journey” album ⊟
Brave Wave too strong.* The latest release, Journey, reunites AKANE, a band featuring Saori Kobayashi, composer of Panzer Dragoon games, and Yumiko Takahashi, known for Suikoden games. The album, featuring compositions from Crimson Dragon and new material, “incorporates Japanese folk vocals, synthesizers and traditional instruments.” It’s so rich, so beautifully orchestrated. I don’t know musical terms, but it’s definitely a trip into a rarely visited area of Sega World, and a stirring listen.
