“Sand Zone” music remix from Cave Story 3D. This sounds great – and features a synth sound that totally reminds me of the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas album we used to play in my house every year.
If you want to read less about ‘80s synth music and more about Cave Story, Gamasutra posted an interview with creator Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya, conducted by Christian Nutt. Asked about the prospect of more people being able to play his game thanks to the 3DS release, Pixel said he was “so happy that it’s beyond my capacity to explain it.” Aw!
