So how’s that price drop working out for the Nintendo 3DS? Pretty good, according to a Famitsu report, which claims that nearly 215,000 systems sold in Japan from August 8-14. The 3DS dropped from ¥25,000 ($325) to ¥15,000 ($195) on August 11.
214,000 sounds like a decent week of sales for sure, but it’s a lot more impressive compared to the previous week. According to Media Create, only 4,132 3DS systems were sold in Japan that week.
So hey, maybe the hardware will bounce back! And then, like, more games!
