Tiny Cartridge 3DS

While a (relatively small) portion of the DS playing world has moved onto 3DS, a group of hackers has still been toiling away at the DSi, releasing the “final” version of the DSiWarehax exploit.

This program uses one of four DSiWare games (Sudoku, Guitar Rock Tour, Legends of Exidia, or Fieldrunners) to enable homebrew in DSi mode, meaning it has access to the DSi’s extra RAM and the SD card. You can run it straight from the DSi menu when installed.

“This update comes with a catch!” according to GBATemp announcement. “If you currently do not have one of the 4 exploitable titles you will not be able to get them.” This is because you have to update your DSi firmware to download them, and you need an older version of the DSi firmware to operate the hack.

The usual caveats apply. DS hacks are useful and cool when used for things like running homebrew software or translation patches for games you own. But if you use them for piracy-related reasons, you are breaking the law, and you are also just the worst. Seriously, I cannot stress enough what a dick move that is.
