Comix Zone art by Ashley Davis, for the “Comics vs. Games creative jam” put on by TIFF Nexus in Toronto. The “main event” is a game jam pairing comic and game designers; in addition, TC bros Attract Mode will curate a set of video game-inspired art, with works by the following (list stolen from Fort90):
Lamar Abrams, Georgina Chacón, Lindsay Collins, Ashley Davis, Jacob Ferguson, Kyle Fewell, Chris Furniss, Zac Gorman, Olly Jones, HamletMachine, Kris Mukai, Maré Odomo, Cory Schmitz, and Jovan Velkoski. That’s… an intimidating amount of talent.
The event will be held from April 29 to May 3 at the Magic Pony, and then May 5 and 6 at the Toronto Comics Art Festival.
