The mouth-watering cooking minigame in Dragon’s Crown
Maybe it’s because I’m super hungry right now, but I can’t stop thinking about the cooking minigame that pops up every now and then in Dragon’s Crown when you run through multiple dungeons. The way it works, a mess of food pops up, then you and all the other players rush to throw them into pots, stir the recipe, drop it on your dish, and scarf them down for bonuses before a timer runs out.
And god, the things you can make look so tasty. I remember that Vanillaware took plenty of care to make Muramasa’s food appear delectable, and the same is true for Dragon’s Crown. Josef took photos of the art book’s pages showing the different meals you can prepare in Dragon’s Crown, and I’ve just been staring at them, wishing there was a restaurant nearby that served some of these recipes.
