Price cuts, Minecraft, & an indie bonanza for PS Vita ⊟

I know we’re posting a lot about the PS Vita this week, but the system has been off the freezy lately. Sony had so much great stuff to announce today at Gamescom, including an immediate price cut on its hardware (now $199.99 in North America, €199 in Europe) and memory cards – more on the latter after the break.

Minecraft and Borderlands 2 are coming to PS Vita. So are Hotline Miami 2 (we already knew about that one), Rogue Legacy, Samurai Gunn, Fez, and The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Here’s the big list of indie titles announced for PS Vita today:

  • Age of Zombies (BlitWorks/Halfbrick)
  • A-Men 2 (Bloober Team)
  • Assault Android Cactus (Witch Beam)
  • Avoid Droid (Infinite State Games)
  • Broken Sword: the Serpent’s Curse (Revolution Software)
  • Eufloria HD (Omni Systems)
  • Fez (Polytron Corporation)
  • Final Horizon (Eiconic Games)
  • Flame Over (Laughing Jackal)
  • Gravity Crash Ultra (Just Add Water)
  • Gunslugs (Abstraction Games)
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital)
  • Joe Danger 1 (Hello Games)
  • Joe Danger 2 (Hello Games)
  • Kick & Fennick (Green Hill Studios)
  • Rogue Legacy (Cellar Door Games)
  • Samurai Gunn (Teknopants)
  • Starbound (Chucklefish)
  • Supermagical (Tama Games)
  • Switch Galaxy Ultra (Atomicom)
  • Table Top Racing (Ripstone)
  • The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Nicalis)
  • Velocity 2X (FuturLab)
  • Volume (Mike Bithell)
  • Wasteland Kings (Vlambeer)

Let’s hear what some developers think about the PS Vita:

Okay, and here are the new memory card prices – still proprietary, but at least they’re cheaper:

  • 4GB - $19.99 $14.99
  • 8GB - $29.99 $19.99
  • 16GB - $59.99 $39.99
  • 32GB - $99.99 $79.99

Oh, and I guess we also learned that the PlayStation 4 will launch in North America on November 15. It looks like a pretty decent machine to play Mercenary Kings on.
