Farewell, Neo Geo X ⊟
It wasn’t the perfect throwback portable/console hybrid people hoped for, but the Neo Geo X sure looked slick in these GIFs I made 10 months ago. These animations took me forever to make (it was one of the first GIF photosets I put together), so I thought I’d trot them out one more time since the system won’t be around for much longer.
If you haven’t heard, SNK terminated its license agreement wih Neo Geo X’s maker Tommo, which means the latter company can no longer manufacture, market, distribute, or do pretty much anything else with this licensed product. I wouldn’t be surprised if this odd kit became a highly-sought collector’s item, something like the Game Boy Micro, years from now. Amazon currently has it for $170.
