A scrumptious treat everyone is sure to LOVE!

Okay so it’s that time again…time to apologize for not posting in like a million years. I can’t believe my last post was in November…NOVEMBER people! Apologies ladies and gents, hopefully this wont happen again.

Okay so enough babbling lets get to the good stuff shall we? I want to take you on my latest endeavor Valentines Day treats. I know what you’re going to say WHOA Valentines Day already came and went, must like this year has been going. What I am trying to say is that the treats I made don’t just have to be for Valentines Day they are perfect for just a regular weekday treat. So what is this delectable treat that will satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth…Cookies and Cream Rice Krispies Treats. I’ll give you a second to get off the floor, when I first saw these I feel right off my chair too!

So a little background, my boyfriend absolutely LOVES rice krispies treats and he has quite a fondness for cookies and cream things as well. So what better to do then combine the two?! To answer my own question, nothing….nothing could be better. So let me tell you how I did it!

Ingredients

6 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal

6 Cups mini marshmallows

30 crushed Oreos

3 Hershey Cookies N’ Cream candy bars

1 tsp vanilla extract

4 Tbsp butter

In a large mixing bowl combine Rice Krispies and Oreos, set aside.

Melt butter and 1 ½ Hershey’s chocolate bars in a saucepan over low heat. (Important things to remember: Spray your whole pan with Pam first so when you add the Krispies and Oreos later they won’t stick to the saucepan. It is also wise to spray your spatula with Pam so they won’t stick to that either! ) Once melted add marshmallows and stir until they’re almost all melted and proceed to add the vanilla.

Now when fully melted, take them off the heat and pour in the Krispies and Oreo mixture. Stir to combine. In a greased 9x9 pan pour the mixture in, stand back and admire your awesomeness!

Don’t forget the other 1 ½ extra Hershey bar! In a piping bag (or Ziploc bag) break up the bar and put it into the bag. Make sure its zipped or tied well so it doesn’t spill. Heat in the microwave for 30 second time intervals until you see it is all melted. Once out of the microwave cut end of bad slightly and use your best culinary diva (or culinary dude) skills to drizzle the Hershey bar on your krispies! Wait to cool for about 20 minutes and dig in yall!

And that is it! You did it now I challenge you guys out there (if anyone is even listening..wait reading) to come up with another Rice Krispies recipe!

Enjoy and Happy Baking Everyone!!
