Charlie, the smoking chimpanzee dies at the age of 52
Charlie, a chimpanzee at the Mangaug Zoo in Bloemfontain, South Africa, that gained international fame as “the smoking chimpanzee” died today at the age of 52. Even with his lengthy smoking habit, Charlie lived about 10 years past the normal chimpanzee life expectancy and zoo officials state that smoking didn’t play any role in his death. He was just an old fucking chimp. Suck it, Surgeon General!
