Joseph Gordon-Levitt wants to remake Little Shop of Horrors. I’m cool with this.
When a Hollywood production company wants to remake or reboot a movie just to make a quick buck, it’s sort of annoying. But if someone wants to remake something out of love, and it’s someone that can pull it off, it’s exciting. Like Joseph Gordon-Levitt now talking about wanting to remake the film version of Little Shop of Horrors. I loved the 1980s film with Rick Moranis, but I’m totally fine with a new JGL version as well.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is working with Warner Bros. on a possible remake of Little Shop of Horrors, which will likely feature a script written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (aka the man who saved Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark), to produce and star in a new version of the cult classic.
And that’s pretty much all we know at this point. Whether it’s a new film version of the original stage play or a remake of one of the two Little Shop of Horrors movies is irrelevant– I’m sure it’ll be worth watching.
