A 3D printed record that plays on any record player
While 3D printing has come a long way very quickly, printing with a fine enough level of detail to print a plastic record is still out of reach for most printers. A 3D printing enthusiast named Amanda Ghassaei has developed a technique for turning the sound files from an mp3 into a record that works on any normal record player.
You can listen to what it sounds like in the video below– the sound quality is not very good at all, but you can recognize the songs that are being played.
