Wednesday 24 September 2014 - Capital One Cup 3rd round - Chelsea 2 Bolton 1
We dominated possession in the first half and finally put one of our many chances away on 25 minutes when young Kurt Zouma stabbed away a loose ball at close range. Alas, an isolated breakaway chance from the visitors caught us napping and saw them draw level on the half hour. HT 1-1
We continued with our positive play at the start of the second half, which eventually led to a peach of a goal by Oscar from well outside the penalty box, a low drive in the bottom corner.
We really should have put the game to bed and made more of the chances created, and a late push by Bolton made the last few minutes of the game a bit tense. But it ended 2-1, taking us into the next round where we travel to League Two side Shrewsbury next month.
