I had a great time visiting my parents in Iowa. Every year my mom comes up with a fun table setting for dinner… this year’s included mini stockings embroidered with each of our names!

I loved the Christmas gifts I got from my boyfriend, most of which were made in the USA and/or from local Chicago stores like Sir & Madame, Una Mae’s and Haberdash.

Every year my mom makes a ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’ cake as one of the many desserts to share on Christmas. A nice reminder that he is the reason for the season!
