Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea talks about the non-profit music school he started in LA, called the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. If you live in the LA area, anyone can sign up, so check it out. Music is great for children - aside from allowing kids to be creative and express themselves as individuals, it helps develop the parts of the brain that we use for math and science. Even if you don’t live in LA - you should find a local program and get your kids playing an instrument.
