So here is my name, Linda, in a modern pointed pen script, using a lime green holder and vermilion ink. I think that says a lot about me? 🙋

I’ve been in love with calligraphy since I was 12, when my sixth grade teacher taught the entire class basic Italic Hand. I am so indebted to her. Mrs. K’s cursive was so beautiful, I was inspired to sit at my desk to practice for hours, so my handwriting would look as lovely as hers. I did my own version of calligraphy all throughout my teenage years, studied graphic design and typography in college, and went into graphic design/web design as a chosen career. I was never far from my love of letters. Fast forward to 2011 - I got an iPad for my birthday and joined Instagram in June. I then came across the website for the Society for Calligraphy and found my teacher. Three months later, I started my first formal calligraphy class and knew it was where my heart belonged. This September, I will be starting my fifth year of calligraphy. It’s been a most wonderful journey. I hope to keep learning for as long as I can.
