I Knew You’d Come Crawling Back (Dub Version) 2013  acrylic and charcoal  on 64cm x 96cm 70lb paper

Records, they’re a thing. Folks love to collect them, buy and sell them,  talk about them, display them, walk around with them, take photos of them and a few people actually listen to them. They’ve been around for decades and will likely always be. Folks can’t get over records, nor can the myriad writers cranking out these types of articles.   I didn’t even read that article but I’m sure it makes my point. It was the first one that came up when I googled “return” and “vinyl”. Googling “comeback, rebirth, still buying…etc” with “vinyl” will all produce similar results. It seems like every 3 months since 1993 or so one of these articles comes, unsought, across my radar. At that frequency, I am convinced there is someone somewhere saying “blah blah… records…blah blah.. vinyl..blah blah..7 inch…I only..blah blah..sounds better..blah…making a come back..blah..blah ..” every .3 seconds and deciding to write an article about it. So much surface noise.
