Yikes – Ashton Kutcher and PopChips are being criticized for an ad in which the TV star dons brownface and puts on an exaggerated Indian accent. The video has been taken down – but Kutcher’s character, Raj, lives on in this other PopChips spot.
PopChips CEO Keith Belling posted on the brand’s official site that the ad was intended to be “a light-hearted parody” and that the creative team behind it “did not intend to offend anyone. I take full responsibility and apologize to anyone we offended.”

First rumored earlier today as a potential replacement for Charlie Sheen, it would mark his return to the sitcom world where he first broke through on That ’70s Show. Hugh Grant was in talks for the role, and he could have been a great choice, but the Brit dropped out.
Kutcher playfully seemed to confirm reports on Twitter, giving fans asking him about the reports a wink and tweeting “what’s the square root of 6.25?”
