Aw poo. What would you suggest for rising juniors or sophomores who are looking to enter the entertainment journalism field though?

Short answer: yes, with an if. EW internships are full-time, paid, 40-hour-a-week jobs, so current students generally only work here during the summers. Additionally, only students that have completed their junior year of college are eligible for internships. (All three interns currently working at the magazine and EW.com, myself included, are recent college grads.)
You should definitely apply when you meet the requirements, since even the interns here get to do awesome stuff on a daily basis, like interview their comedy heroes.
Which is to say: Entertainment Weekly magazine and EW.com are both looking for summer edit interns. Find info below – and pay attention, as the requirements to apply for each are slightly different.
EW.com is looking for a paid editorial intern to work at the website this fall. You’ll find all the application info you need below; stay tuned for info about fall magazine internships as well.
