For those that have been near campus recently, there are some road improvements happening that the City of Tempe talked about recently that affect traffic near our facilities.
Here is what you should basically know…
Rural Rd between Apache & University is going to be under construction through October for the waterline project. The current work in the intersection with University is probably the most impactful, as Rural will continue to be limited to one lane in each direction for the duration of the project.
If going north on Rural, consider the following detour if coming to Packard Stadium, Farrington Stadium or the Karsten Golf Course:
–Apache east to McClintock, McClintock north to Rio Salado, Rio Salado west to Rural.
SO WHAT WE ARE SAYING HERE IS AVOID UNIVERSITY AND RURAL WHEN YOU CAN AND TELL A SUN DEVIL FRIEND THE SAME!
