I managed to squeeze a LA day trip last Friday with my friend and I did not realize until leaving it was exactly what I needed.

Exploring LA was fun, tiring, long and therapeutic. Despite getting minor food poisoning at Ikea (thanks 99cent breakfast!!), doing so much in a short amount of time helped clear my head and put things into perspective.

The agenda was Ikea, Griffith Observatory, Monterrey Park, Porto’s, Downtown Pasadena, met up with Barbara for dinner, and LACMA Urban Lights exhibit. My personal favorite moment of the trip was trying to find a bathroom while walking around Pasadena and ending up in Power Ranger convention! Imagine peeing next to an overweight guy in a shiny, body-con Putty Patroller suit and witnessing a guy (an over zealous fan?) on a stretcher leaving the convention.
