…at GAP!

Newest Gap patterns I spotted while working the other day!  I absolutely looove flying bird patterns.  So when I saw these jeans, I immediately added them to my wish list.  When you fold the cuff up, there is a hidden denim bird pattern underneath!  It’s such a cute lil detail.  Gap Body mirrors this pattern with a similar one of hummingbirds on some cotton panties, too.  Had to capture both!  So cute…

Gap has THE cutest patterned button up shirts, right now! I just had to cover them on I See Pattern! As you may know, I have been working part time for GAP for three+ years now. In the three years that I have been with GAP, these may just be the cutest patterns we have ever had on anything! The colors are so vibrant and the prints are made of some of my favorite icons - cherries (that, by the way, are white, making them cooler than regular ole red cherries), back to school apples, birds, which have been flying around on every surface these days, and bright grass green viney leaves. I kinda bought them all… Is that bad? If my husband is reading this, he is saying YES! “Im sorry, honey, I have a problem, I know.” :) GAP is having a Labor Day sale that started today! …on Gap’s Holiday Marketing Campaign and Store Visuals!

As you all know, I work at GAP part time for some extra cash and just as a fun side job. I have been with GAP for a little over 3 years. This is my 4th Christmas Season with GAP. Each year they do a bang up job with the holiday visuals. You can see some of my posts I did on previous seasons at Gap here and here on my personal blog called WB Inspired. (Which btw I have put on hold bc I have been focusing on I See Pattern. :) 

Anyway, this year at Gap, the holiday decor has PATTERN on it!!! And so do some of the clothes. So I snapped a few shots and wanted to share the fun patterns with you! Enjoy!

These are this year’s Holiday Gift Cards! Holy pattern, right?!? Aren’t they so adorable? I haaaaaad to get at least two of them to give as Xmas gifts this year! They open up and have the card inside. So clever, GAP!

…at Gap Body!

First off, Happy Valentines Day everyone!  I absolutley love red, pink, and anything with HEARTS!  <3  Needless to say, this is my fave holiday!  I have been working part time at Gap for three Valentines Days now.  Each year, I have always admired the Vday prints that are on the PJ’s and undies in Gap Body.  These are a few snaps from this years collection!

…on Trina Turk in Banana!

Hey Everyone,

I am sure you know already, but one of my favorite fashion designers, Trina Turk, did a collection for Banana Republic. I didnt go check it out in stores until it had been on the floor for a week or so. I wanted to wait until my Gap Inc. employee discount could be applied. :) For the first week, employees were not allowed to use the discount bc the collection was limited. They wanted actual customers to get first dibs. That worked for me bc I knew if I went when it came out, I would have bought too much and I would have paid full price for it. So by the time I made it to the store to check out all the fabulous Trina Turk prints, there wasnt much left (so I was limited in what I could buy) and I was able to get that employee discount! Just a few shopping tricks I use so I dont spend too much. If only money grew on trees, I would have been there opening morning! HAHA I just didnt trust myself! :) Anyway, a couple girlfriends of mine and I made a night out of it. Dinner, then Trina Turk at Banana! This is what I saw! Enjoy!

I especially LOOOOOVED the wallpaper background in the store! So cute!

This is one of the pieces I picked up! I can’t wait to wear this on a dinner date with my husband in Mexico this summer on our vacation (in two weeks)!

This image is a scarf that I held up to my friend’s black and white striped tee. Double pattern effect! This scarf is another Trina Turk item I bought! It is a great go to scarf that will add a pop of color & pattern to any outfit! Smart purchase! 

I loooooved the booklet that Banana Republic sent out to advertise the line. So I instagramed some of my favorite pages!

If you havent been to the stores to see the Trina Turk collection, I recommend you go asap. It was so beautiful. I cant wait for my beach vacation even more now!  haha

I am really in love with all the patterns GAP has chosen for their Spring/Summer collections.  I work part time at the GAP, so I am very proud of these floral prints and get to stare at them while I work making work a little less like work.  

As soon as I posted the last entry of GAP’s Spring/Summer patterns, a shipment came in and there were sooooo many more.  So, I snapped a few more shots for GAP patterns part two!

Well Merry Christmas!!!

I had so many patterned gift wrapping ideas for this season and well… ya know how it goes! Oh the holidaze… Oh life…

Since I ended up not DIYing any of my gifts this Christmas, I wanted to share last years’ that, well, never made it to the blog either… Okay, next year I will get it together! ;)

As most of you know, I had my very first born November 27th of 2013.  So this time last year, from Thanksgiving to New Years, I was like, “WHAAAAA?!?” Somehow in between back to back feedings and sporadic crying fits (and when I say “crying fits,” I’m not talking about the baby- new moms cry A LOT too, ya know - haha)… Thru all that craziness, I managed to pull off some pretty cute DIYed presents if I must say!  hehe

My apologies for the poor images.  I may have had a baby literally attached to me while taking these pictures, if you know what I mean… :)

Things You’ll Need

1. Good ole brown packing paper you can get from just about anywhere.  I get mine from either Lowes or Target.

2.  Any patterned paper.  You can find holiday patterned paper at any craft store!  Or you can design something yourself like I did for this wrap job.  I printed my patterns out on cardstock so I wouldnt have to tape the shapes completely down to the brown paper. 

3.  Yarn or any ribbon.  I used red yarn for these.

4.  Mini Candy Canes

5.  And tape, duh… ;)

That’s it!  It was really easy!

PS - I originally REEEEEAAAALLLLLLLYYY REALLY wanted to get these patterns I designed printed on actual wrapping paper to wrap my gifts with…  And, well, I did, buuuuut the print job was terrible.  If you know a good place/website to get your own designs printed on wrapping paper, please comment!
