Hey Everyone!
I went to Urban Outfitters this weekend! YAY! Anyway, I have sooooo many great shots of patterns for ya’ll. Gonna have to split this one up into four or five different posts, so stay tuned for more UO patterns! :)
Urban Outfitters post number 2… I am planning my fiance and I’s Destination Wedding right now and it just so happened that there were a good group of prints that I captured last weekend at UO that remind me of the beach! So “Destination” seemed fitting for the title of this post! YAY :)
Urban Outfitters post number 3… Got 2 more after this one of the UO prints :) There were just so many inspiring patterns! My camera went crazy! HAHA
Last of the Urban Outfitters bunch. Well, until next trip! hehe…

Hey everyone! Its finally summer around here. It has been a true Texas summer in Dallas lately- 100 degree temperatures and random storms here and there. As much as I hate the extreme heat, I love to pattern shop during the summer season. I was in Urban Outfitters the other day and found these icon driven patterns that scream summertime! I LOOOOOVe anything with a flamingo and/or sunglasses on it! hehe I have been thinking of summertime icons and I just cant get enough inspiration from all the prints out there right now. Enjoy what I saw at UO! Some more summertime patterns soon!
Reminds me of Saved by the Bell! I loved that show! But, also, this print reminds me of a California summer! Katie Perry would love this print, dont you think? ;)
I have been more drawn to summer icons lately, but I couldnt ignore the usual floral driven tropical prints that will always be in stores during the summer season. And how cool, that I found one of these patterns on some nail wraps. Nail art is such a fun trend to follow and I am so glad nail wraps were invented. LOVE them! In fact, I may have to go back to Urban and pick these up! So dang cute! Pattern is really everywhere these days! Smiley face! hehe
Great stripe, dont you think! Great Beach Bag, as well!
I moseyed on over to Men’s at UO. I forget to cover men’s bc it is just not as fun sometimes as Women’s is. But UO always delivers. The Menwear patterns I saw were obviously a little different from the patterns women wear. Hawaiian Shirt inspired prints and Fourth of July Stars and Stripes are always a safe bet for men during summertime. These were some of the belts. Accessories like belts and socks (see pic below) are a great way for men to add pattern to their outfits. I see pattern everywhere, but really it just on everything these days. haha
I love socks, obviously, bc I worked with socks for 5 years. I will forever pay attention to socks. The men’s socks are so much cooler than the women’s socks at Urban Outfitters. They always have been as long as I have paid attention. Love this bearded pirate and the hungry shark! So hilarious!
Okay, this last pattern, I found on a Men’s Tee at Urban. I added it to this post bc it sooooo reminds me of the Strip in Panama City Beach, Florida. I know now, Panama isnt really a place college kids go for Spring Break anymore, but back in my day, we went a few times. And this was just too funny to me to not add. :) Altho, girls, if your beau is wearing this shirt (even if it is to the beach), you may wanna think twice before considering him boyfriend material! Just date his friend who is not wearing this shirt! haha

I hope you enjoyed this collection of summertime prints from UO. More to come from other stores thru out the SUMMER! Now go to the pool and enjoy summer! Dont forget your shades! B-)
XOXO,
Well Merry Christmas!!!
I had so many patterned gift wrapping ideas for this season and well… ya know how it goes! Oh the holidaze… Oh life…
Since I ended up not DIYing any of my gifts this Christmas, I wanted to share last years’ that, well, never made it to the blog either… Okay, next year I will get it together! ;)
As most of you know, I had my very first born November 27th of 2013. So this time last year, from Thanksgiving to New Years, I was like, “WHAAAAA?!?” Somehow in between back to back feedings and sporadic crying fits (and when I say “crying fits,” I’m not talking about the baby- new moms cry A LOT too, ya know - haha)… Thru all that craziness, I managed to pull off some pretty cute DIYed presents if I must say! hehe
My apologies for the poor images. I may have had a baby literally attached to me while taking these pictures, if you know what I mean… :)
Things You’ll Need
1. Good ole brown packing paper you can get from just about anywhere. I get mine from either Lowes or Target.
2. Any patterned paper. You can find holiday patterned paper at any craft store! Or you can design something yourself like I did for this wrap job. I printed my patterns out on cardstock so I wouldnt have to tape the shapes completely down to the brown paper.
3. Yarn or any ribbon. I used red yarn for these.
4. Mini Candy Canes
5. And tape, duh… ;)
That’s it! It was really easy!
PS - I originally REEEEEAAAALLLLLLLYYY REALLY wanted to get these patterns I designed printed on actual wrapping paper to wrap my gifts with… And, well, I did, buuuuut the print job was terrible. If you know a good place/website to get your own designs printed on wrapping paper, please comment!
Happy Holidays everyone! LOVE!
XOXO,
