BRAZIL: COLLAGE ART: CLARISSE ROCHA RIBEIRO
Clarisse Ribeiro triples as an artist, yoga teacher and psychologist. This trifecta informs her artistry; in her handmade collages, she focuses on symbols and the messages of her subconscious. She says, “All collage pieces are made in a meditational state and are intuitively constructed. When I start, I have no idea where I’m gonna end. It’s common to reach the meaning of one symbol in the whole perspective just after I finish or when someone explains [some] information I didn’t [know about] that symbol.
