The NPH jokes where he breaks the fourth wall have been like 100% miss for me and incredibly on the nose but I was pleasantly surprised when Count Olaf calls the theater they’re in a “godforsaken nickelodeon.”
Because not only is he insulting the anachronistic establishment with a perfect word, but guess which production company was behind the original Series of Unfortunate Events movie?
The shade being thrown at the film version of ASoUE all the way through this episode of the Netflix adaption is glorious.
