Thursday Evening In OKC - Big Truck & Joe
Started off the evening by chowin’ down on some Big Truck tacos! Big Truck is a unique dining experience. The line to the register is usually winding from the front door, where you pick up your menu on the right, through some make shift tables. A great list of tacos to choose from, chicken, beef, veggie. I had an “Okie Baja” and “The Wojo”. The “Okie Baja” had great flavor with grilled crispy fleshy talapia and Jicaima slaw, which adds a cool tasty crunch! “The Wojo” was all grilled veggies topped of with feta cheese. This really is a perfect paring of tacos if you are eating here and health conscious. You are able to get the true Big Truck tacos experience without losing out on flavor!
Cuppies and Joes is just of 23rd between Dewey and Shartel. It is a great coffee house with a warm familiar atmosphere and some great cupcakes and excellent americanos. Cupcakes and espresso fills the air, cups clink the espresso machine pouring steam, friendly wait staff are all part the experience. Multiple rooms, tables, and outlets make this place great for meeting up with a friend or study buddy. Large groups are still able to find seating, but it is limit. Bring your laptop, a best seller, or you medical books and get lost in the fragrance and ambiance that is Cuppies and Joes.
