St. Mark’s Place panoramic. East Village, New York City.

Headed out last night to give the new camera a spin. A ‘tiny walk around the neighborhood’ somehow resulted in a walk through the neighborhood followed by a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn. :)

I mostly played around with some of the fun functions like the sweep panorama function. It allows you to shoot stitched panoramic images by holding down the shutter button while panning across a scene (at the perfect speed, this took some trial and error because at the wrong speed it clips a bit). The camera captures overlapping images and stitches them together.

I was pleasantly surprised by the results after quite a bit of trying to get the perfect timing for the panning down. I love that I was able to capture a bit of St. Mark’s Place at night using this!
