Montecore F/W ´14

Fall and winter collection by Italian Montecore - which includes parkas, down jackets, bomber jackets and classic overcoats interpreted in their own unique way - is build around blue, grey and green. The collection relies on traditional tailoring combined with the most modern technology in terms of materials and processing the fabrics. Cashmere and wool are combined with technical and water & wind repellent materials.

In terms of aesthetics and personality the look book may not be the most inspiring one there is for the season but at least attention has been given to where it belongs - to the clothes.

This parka is probably my favorite from the collection. Filled with goose down, made of water repellent fabric together with tone on tone water proof woollen inserts. And the fur exterior on the collar is detachable.

Getting ready for a weekend in the city? Pair this casual short jacket made of 100% cashmere with some dark blue denim and suede boots.

“Field jacket” for fall and winter? Made of wool with thermore padding this a great option for a modern casual look.

I would have dropped the zip-pocket in the front but otherwise this works - simple and clean.

People always talk about “winter whites” as they refer to trousers. Who says one can’t wear an off-white jacket? Especially if it’s made of cashmere.

Grey quilted jacket / blazer with thermore padding and detachable mesh-lining made of 100% wool.

“Classic” down blazer with detachable nylon lining. Suitable also for office days, even to put over your flannel suit.

The diagonal stitching, contrasting and water-proof wool on the shoulders and back and sheepskin insert inside the collar makes this down jacket an interesting one.

Heading for a walk in the park or to a football match? Made of 100% virgin wool with membrane this one will keep you warm. And if it gets too windy, just pull of the detachable hood.
