In the Mood for Love (dir. Wong Kar-wai).
I fell in love with its beauty, romantic 1960s Hong Kong setting, and breathtaking cinematography. Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung play neighbours whose spouses are having an affair with each other in a subtle yet heartbreaking love story. Kar-wai’s visual storytelling, flourishing musical queues, and unconventional narrative are a wonder of thematically rich art and design.
