No, I don’t actually work in horse racing where I receive an income from my efforts. I aspire to do something in horse racing one day if I can; I have a year left to get my communications degree and a few years left to get my computer science degree, and I have a plan to pursue sports filmmaking. I’d love to work for someone like HRTV as a producer/editor/analyst. As a film major, I see so many flaws in how horse racing is represented to the masses (especially the Eclipse Awards graphics… OH GOD, 80s much?), and thus I see myself becoming the influential type of person I strive to be for whatever I wind up doing.
Furthermore, to be honest, anything and everything I feel strongly about becomes work for me. I pursue things I am passionate about like it is my job, as professional and as consistent as possible, which is probably why this blog is here and still running strong. Thanks for the good question!
