Despite the popularity of the midway rides, the games, the shows and the museums, Cedar Point’s stellar attraction remained its “world famous” bathing beach. Miles long and broadly covered with white sand, much of its popularity was due to a swimming area that deepened only gently and offered safe and pleasant bathing.
