Don’t understand the hate ‘The Great Gatsby’ received over the summer. It is a damn good film. The visuals on-screen kept me intrigued throughout the whole film. Solid/intense acting. Even the odd music choices flowed well. I don’t remember much of the book (read it in high school), so I don’t know if the film was true to the source material. Regardless, 'The Great Gatsby’ is an underrated gem. Not 'best picture’ quality, but I do hope it earns a few technical nominations at the Oscars. One of the best films to utilize the overabundance of CGI, and had some really good editing (which made all the noticeable CGI fluff look impressive).
