I find it interesting that when a near-murder by 12 year old girls happens that involves Slenderman, CNN has an article explaining who/what Slenderman is and what Creepypasta is, but when a man goes on a shooting rampage and kills people and MRAs are involved, the issue is given maybe a paragraph and the only site that goes in depth about explaining MRAs as hate groups is the comedy site Cracked.com.

Give a ghost a little gift
Give a ghost a little gift if you are so willing, give a ghost a kiss or a hug if eldritch affection you are desiring.
Give a ghost a story of your day, make it terrifically short if you cannot say how long you can stay.
Into your schedule, spare a bit of time away to tuck and give a ghost a gift in hopes for ghostly luck.
“How lucky can a ghost be?” the nay-sayers will sneer, “when they are where I cannot see? Why then do you hold them so closely and dear?”
Answers sought are not always found and that is the way life is bound — in science and other ways of seeing, there is much more to reality than is perceptible to a mortal’s being.
Give a ghost a little gift from your day, and if they do not exist, enjoy the sentiment anyway.
au where the winter soldier is an actual ghost, not an intelligence ghost
at first bucky’s ghost mostly sticks by steve, frozen under the ocean. but every time he leaves the crash site, he forgets a little bit more of who he was when he was alive, until he doesn’t remember why he’d go back and he becomes an angry spirit.
this is literally the plot for 3:02 am, the J-horror inspired AU that no one asked for and I wrote anyways
thedreamingwood said: have you ever seen/felt a ghost or anything like that? Or do you give credence to the idea at all? Spooooky stuff plz :)
Oh man. Okay, so: I have personally never seen a ghost, or, at least, anything that I would consider a ghost or ghostly. My aunt, grandma, and my great-grandma, on the other hand, are regular ghost-seers and experiencers of the otherworldly, and sly kitchen witches. All of them are the eldest daughters, and I, as an eldest daughter, should have a little bit of that ability in me too. We were all raised with very nonchalant belief in the spiritual and ghostly, it was very matter-of-fact. The sky is blue, the grass is green. and sometimes there are ghosts.
I don’t see ghosts, but I do dream of things that happen later (future ghosts?), and I do on occasion feel entities in places. Strangely (maybe not so strange?) it’s guided me on my fieldwork to find and recover remains, and when working with unidentified victims. I do wonder if it’s what pushes me to do what I do, if it’s part of the reason that I’m good at it. Which sounds insane. But I can’t explain it any better than that.
