This teenager named Kelvin Doe from Sierra Leone built his own radio station. Let me say that again: he built a radio station. And that’s not even the best bit. This is: he built it using scrap electronics that he found in junk heaps.

I don’t even really understand what it means to build a radio station (which includes a generator, amplifier, and “other components,” according to this blog post), but I know that it sounds awesome. Too bad I can’t attend the lecture Doe will be making to the Harvard School of Engineering to find out more.
