Current Ministry Focus: WASEDA University

Although I am currently still in the lecture portion of my DTS, I have now committed to a ministry focus. YWAM believes in living out what is taught and each student here is partnering with the leaders in local ministry. I will be working at WASEDA University in Tokyo, Japan. This is a pioneering ministry and we are the forerunners. Our heart is to see God bring revival to this key university. God is giving us a burden for prayer and intercession. We are crying out for him to bring unity to the few Christian ministries already on campus. We are partnering with them and asking God to bring His love and power to WASEDA. This week was our teams first time on campus. We walked around for a few hours praying for things that God put on our hearts and connecting with students. In the following weeks we will continue to contend in prayer and also begin establishing deeper relationships with the ministries here and with the students. Our goal is to first pray, and then love the other ministries and students. Then watch God move in power!

Waseda is one of Japan’s top private, co-educational institutions of higher learning. Founded as a college with three departments under the old Japanese system of higher education, it has since grown to become a comprehensive university with two senior high schools and a School of Art and Architecture.
