It was great to see the Three Amigos reunite last night, but did you know that Martin Short, Steve Martin and Chevy Chase actually co-hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live to promote The Three Amigos way back in 1986? Watch it here on Hulu Plus. And yes, we would say we have a plethora of SNL sketches.
So SNL just released the dress rehearsal of Justin Timberlake performing “Mirrors” from his SNL hosting gig, but we thought we’d be remiss if we didn’t point out Martin Short’s spot-on Bill Hader impersonation from the introduction (in the first picture).

On October 11, 1975 “Saturday Night Live” airs for the first time — with its original cast of Chevy Chase, Jim Belushi, Gilda Radner, Garrett Morris, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, and Laraine Newman. Happy 37th birthday!
What is it about Martin Short yelling at Paul McCartney that is so funny? We could not stop giggling during this sketch. Coincidentally, this whole scenario was on a very specific scavenger hunt we’ve been doing for years in which we search for photos of former SNL stars yelling at Beatles. Up next, we need to find a photo of Chevy Chase yelling at Ringo Starr…then our list will be complete.
Before Dan Aykroyd was all about those crystal skulls, he was all about that bass.
