The Aldas Project began on January 1, 2012. The challenge was to draw a full drawing every day for the year. “Aldas" (pronounced ull-dosh), is the Hungarian word for "blessing". The idea for this project is two-fold - a personal challenge to create more original drawings, and to raise money for three of artist, Kristy Modarelli’s favorite non-profit organizations: 826 National, The Schoerke Foundation, and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Each original drawing is made of archival materials, with 25% going to the buyer's choice of the three charities. Shipping is free in the US, and just $20 to anywhere in the world.
