I used to like to keep every door open. It felt like accepting the world’s wealth of possibilities. Now I realize it was just cluttering the space, making it hard to appreciate the present. Most doors, you’ll be able to open again. That’s the point of doors. The ones you can’t? You’re better off learning not to need them. It’s better than holding desperately on to past possibilities.
