Christopher Nolan Adapting Crime Thriller The Keys to the Street
Christopher Nolan is co-writing an adaptation of the crime thriller The Keys to the Street by Ruth Rendell. Nolan is simply adapting it with co-writer Michael Stokes, not directing it, though his talent for writing still will be a more than welcome. They are currently selling it around the Toronto International Film Festival, so hopefully we’ll be able to see it soon too. Follow us after the jump for all of the details we actually have right now.
The film, set to be helmed by the relatively new Czech director, Julius Sevcík already has some stars attached as well. Most notable are Gemma Arterton and Tim Roth as our leads. While Arterton hasn’t really done any crime thrillers, the genre is old hat for Roth who is generally most remembered for his starring role is Pulp Fiction. We already have the basic plot for it which you can actually read right here:
Set in London’s exclusive Regent’s Park area, where a woman accepts a house-sitting assignment in order to escape her violent and disturbed ex-boyfriend Alastair (Roth). As a series of murders occur in the neighborhood, she starts an affair with another man, played by Max Irons
I am certainly interested in a crime thriller from Nolan and with this cast, but only time well tell. Let us know in the comments what you think of this project.
