everythingrmstitanic:

On May 29, 1914, the RMS Empress of Ireland and the Storstad collided at around 2:00 am, on the St. Lawrence River near Rimouski, Quebec due to heavy fog. She was sailing from Quebec City to Liverpool. The Empress of Ireland quickly began taking on water, listing towards the starboard side; within a few minutes, it became impossible to launch any more lifeboats. 14 minutes after the collision, the Empress sunk, taking with her 1,012 of 1,477 aboard.

Oh, cool. I know a lot of pictures of Titanic were touched up so that smoke was coming from the fourth funnel.

The name is dubious though, look how unusually bright it is compared to any other photo of the ship and how it appears...
