Jeet Kune Do: Most Popular Punch: Hook 2

Here’s a few more ways of performing the hook punch.  Check the source link for part 1.

Rear hook: This is done the same way as the lead-hook in part 1 except you want to start with your rear fist up to the side of your jaw.  When you connect with the hook and your arm is fully extended lean into it and the rear foot should be lifted to the toes with leg fully extended.  That’s how you get maximum power on this blow.

Palm hook: This is performed the same way as the first hook but not with your fist you use the lower part of your palm.  The best target with this is the jaw.

Tight hook: This hook is done by bringing your fist into a curved line when close to your target.  So when close to opponent throw short circular versions of the first hook.

Horizontal hook: This is similar to the first hook but fully extending your arm sideways punching towards your opponents shoulder.

Low hook: This is only good when used as a counter so when you duck a punch immediately deliver a hook to the stomach.

Diagonal down hook: This is similar to the tight-hook but throwing it in a diagonal form when opponents head is ducked down.

Diagonal up hook: This is similar to the tight-hook but going in a diagonal line to the jaw.
