June 3-4, 1967. Over the weekend, work on the crisis in the Middle East continues as aides and National Security Council staff seek international support for the opening of the Gulf of Aqaba as well as develop diplomatic solutions towards peace in the Middle East. Part of the plans involve preparation for a visit by UAR Vice President Zakareya Mohieddin in which he and President Johnson will discuss possible solutions or peace deals. This June 3rd memo lays out plans for the coming week.
