Am I the only one whose strolled the aisles of CVS and noticed Salma Hayek’s skincare line? I really havn’t heard anything about this line, have you? Anyway, I desperately needed a moisturizer and Salma Hayek is doing something right with her gorgeous skin, so I decided why not give it a shot? 

The line was inspired by Hayek’s grandmother, who “dedicated her life to keeping women beautiful.”

I chose the NUANCE Renewed Radiance SPF 30 Moisturizing Day Cream to try first. 

Here’s what it does:

-Shea Butter, Jojoba & Sunflower Oil provide long-lasting nourishment.
-Natural Licorice Extract helps renew brightness and even skin tone.
-Pomegranate Butter & Vitamin E help protect against the harmful effects of daily toxins.
-Mimosa, Blue Agave, Camapu & Prickly Pear Extracts continuously soothe, hydrate and firm skin. 

It’s said to improve your skin tone after 28 days and hydrate the skin after using as well (according to the “Consumer Results”).

The packaging is simple and sleek which always looks pretty on a bathroom countertop.

Because this is a day cream, the moisturizer has a thicker consistency. Did I mention that it smells lovely? It has a very clean, fresh, flowery fragrance to it … almost like a light perfume. Most importantly it has SPF 30!!! That’s great for our skin ;)

Price

Ok, so I wasn’t too thrilled about paying nearly $17 for this moisturizer … especially since I hadn’t heard of any reviews. Something inside me said just risk it lol (hey, I could always take it back if I really didn’t like it).

My Review:

I really like it so far. I’ve been using it for five days now and I can’t say that I’m experiencing anything drastically different with my skin quite yet, but I’m still giving it a shot! It smells really nice, like I’m giving myself a spa treatment. I’m surprised at how light it feels on my face, especially since it has sunscreen in it. It’s also hypoallergenic so it won’t clog my pores and cause breakouts. I’ll give you an update in 23 days!
