In July 2012, Crane & Canopy launched with the mission that high quality, well-designed bedding should be affordable and attainable. We’ve all seen the designer branded bedding collections in our high-end department stores, but what we don’t realize is that the high price tag not only represents a massive markup and overhead costs for a physical retail location, but also design organizations and people in the supply chain taking their cut.

We asked ourselves, is it possible to produce the same high-quality and beautifully-designed bedding for a third of the price before any white sale? After traveling around the world for more than a year, the answer was YES.

By going directly to the world’s best factories and working with the nation’s best designers, we have been able to create one-of-a-kind collections of high-quality and beautifully-designed bedding, duvet covers and sheets, all without the department store markup. By selling exclusively online and shipping directly from our own warehouse, we are able to save our customers up to 70% in costs. In the end, our customers can sleep happy knowing that they are resting their heads on department store quality linens for a fraction of the cost.
