“Deuters says he knows of no acts of abuse toward Amber at the hands of Johnny and has never made such a claim to anyone. He adds, Johnny has never been violent toward anyone he knows.
Deuters says the texts themselves are suspicious because they don’t even show a date.
Bottom line … he says he will testify under oath he never had a conversation about alleged violence with Amber. ”

I JUST LOVE THEM OKAY. I love their friendship, their on-screen chemistry, their off-screen chemistry, and their probably amazing sex life tbh. I CAN’T WAIT FOR MORTDECAI.

They insisted, Tim and Johnny, I got home at 11, 11:15 at night. I didn’t want to do that and I said, “But you’ll be talking to my stand-in.” Johnny said to me, “Ah, yes, but I will see you.” And that is the mind and the soul of a true actor.

“Johnny Depp’s inspiration for Jack Sparrow as Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin.” - Joachim Rønning in Total Film June 2017 interview [X]
Seriously? It’s obvious that his inspirations are Keith Richards and Pepé Le Pew. Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin are Sam’s inspirations from Benny & Joon.
After reading and watching some spoilers, I really doubt that if those new directors and the new writer have done research on Captain Jack’s background and the details of previous movies because if so, there wouldn’t be multiple obvious(at least for fans of the series) continuity mistakes and background setting mistakes in the film that shouldn’t happen at all.
Like those simple questions: Who gave Jack his compass? Tia Dalma. When and where did Jack get his accessories? Throughout his entire journey and each piece of them is “an extremely important memory for Jack”, according to Johnny. And when did Jack name himself “Sparrow”? At least, before he met Salazar if The Price of Freedom is considered canon(which should be canon).
“I can smell what’s under those bandages, wizard. You’re all rot and ruin.” - Auntie Ethel
I wanted to incorporate some of Gale’s original design and lores. So, I added some infection to his skin and bandages. I wanted to show the netherese orb visibly rotting him from the inside.
