Whenever I meet someone who likes Harry Potter, I get really excited but I have to tell myself to calm down and be cool and tread carefully because chances are they just like Harry Potter and I don’t want to scare them off by unleashing the Harry Potter maniac monster within me in all its glory

Did anyone realize that Remus found Harry wandering the castle by himself on Halloween because Ron and Hermione went to Hogsmeade and even though Harry didn’t give it much of a thought, Remus knew that it was the anniversary of James and Lily’s death so he took Harry to his office and prepared tea and talked to him so that neither one would feel alone? Because I just realized this and now I’m sad.
One of my all-time favorite scenes from Harry Potter:
After the first Triwizard Tournament competition
“Harry knew Ron was about to apologize and suddenly he found he didn’t need to hear it.
‘It’s okay,’ he said, before Ron could get the words out. 'Forget it.’
'No,’ said Ron, 'I shouldn’t’ve –’
’Forget it,’ Harry said.
Ron grinned nervously at him, and Harry grinned back.
Hermione burst into tears.
'There’s nothing to cry about!’ Harry told her, bewildered.
'You two are so stupid!’ she shouted, stamping her foot on the ground, tears splashing down her front. Then, before either of them could stop her, she had given both of them a hug and dashed away, now positively howling.” (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, p. 358-9).
So I just read a masterfully well written fanfiction about Teddy Lupin’s first year at Hogwarts. It made me wonder whether there are other high quality fic written after the completion of the Harry Potter series. I’m sure there must be, I just don’t know where or how to find them. The fic doesn’t necessarily have to be about the next generation, but it’s nice to have stories that takes all seven books’ canon into consideration when writing. Does anyone have suggestions?
